Torre del Reloj
This project offers a new and renovated appearance to the “Clock Room” of La Laboral, respecting its original strutucture while bearing in mind both past and near future under the premises of functionality and aesthetic evolution. The suggested solution offers a low structural impact, respecting totally the original distributrion – created to house complex colckworks – which now will be renewed and equiped turning then into a very special meeting room. The impact is achieved by the creation of cosy, atractive and warming atmosphere where light and the impressive clock faces are the protagonists.
The upholstery of the walls comes from the formal sketch of a clock whose time phases have been elongated, stablishing a powerful simile with the Sun and getting even cosmological values. The clockwork dominates the center of this cosmos and a whole constellation of small elements arrange around its “rays”. The fabric grid gives both warmth through its colours and life through its iridescent qualities.
Elegance and functionality are undoubtely present in this impressive space.
